I wanted to update you all as quickly as possible with regards our service levels / options and the Coronavirus situation and any impacts on APC.

All APC Depots and the APC Overnight Cannock & Essington Sortation Hubs continue to operate as normal as possible. Quite obviously, all sites have now introduced enhanced cleansing protocols to ensure the safety of the relevant staff  at each location. Here in Cambridge we sanitise all the sortation equipment, cages and trolleys after each morning’s inbound sort and each evening’s outbound sort. All work-surfaces / doors and driver’s vehicles are also cleaned at each opportunity. Our aim is to carry on providing services for as long as the UK Gov allows us access to the road networks. Each driver has anti-bacterial cleansers in their vans and everyone is washing their hands as much as possible.

We recognise that we play a vital part in the delivery element of your business and also in delivering other customers’ goods to the households and businesses of the CB postcode area that we cover. It’s really important that we can carry on as long as possible and hope that we get through this situation as best we can. You can be assured we are doing everything possible to achieve this.

That being said, as the situation changes from day to day, we have to react to whatever issues we are confronted with. As from today, 18th March, APC is suspending its pre 9.00am service. The decision was taken to take the pressure off our delivery drivers and maximise our delivery capabilities. Our timed Pre 10am, Pre 12 noon and anytime next day 16:00 services are unaffected.

I am keen to post updates to services in one location – our website is the best place for this information going forwards. I have recently updated this website – we are all quite proud of the results of what we have achieved. You’ll now be able to view information regarding Network Service levels if impacted by the Coronavirus. You can also request APC mail and courier pack bags, labels and other items, some of which are free and some are purchase options. You can buy some APC branded boxes though!

Also on the site is information about all of our services and in the About section you might be able to put some names to faces!

I am incredibly proud of my staff and drivers here at APC Cambridge – they have all adopted to the new protocols seamlessly and are committed to working as hard as they can to continue to provide you with the very best logistics partner that you could wish for – they truly are a dream team and I know from countless testimonials how much you also all value them and their efforts.
